Tikveš Winery Reinforces Sustainability Commitment with Release of Second Annual ESG Report

Tikveš Winery has published its 2024 Sustainability Report, marking the company’s second comprehensive review of progress in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The report showcases the winery’s continued commitment to sustainable operations and highlights key achievements from the 2024 fiscal year.

Building on the foundation laid in previous years, the 2024 report outlines significant progress in several critical areas. Most notably, Tikveš Winery earned Silver Membership status from International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), in recognition of a 21% reduction in carbon footprint per liter of product over the past year. The winery also increased its reliance on renewable energy, which now represents 15.2% of its total energy consumption.

Additional highlights include the advancement of data-driven precision viticulture, the expansion of organic grape cultivation with certified organic wines from its Domaine Lepovo estate, and ongoing investments in water-efficient drip irrigation systems. The report further details Tikveš’s strong ESG governance framework, its focus on building a responsible supply chain, and the adoption of increasingly sustainable packaging solutions.

Svetozar Janevski, President of the Management Board, remarked in the report: “We face challenges with courage and preparation, always staying one step ahead. Only by doing so can we ensure the stable, long-term development of our company and positively contribute to the environment in which we operate.”

The 2024 Sustainability Report reaffirms Tikveš Winery’s dedication not only to producing exceptional wines but also to foster a more sustainable future for the wine industry and the broader community.
