Tikveš Winery Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report, Marking Further Progress in Responsible Growth
Tikveš Winery has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, presenting the company’s latest progress in environmental performance, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The report covers a significant year for the winery, marked by the 140th anniversary of Tikveš and continued investment in long-term, responsible growth.
The 2025 report highlights measurable progress in climate action and resource efficiency. Tikveš confirmed its Silver Member status within International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), achieving a 22% reduction in carbon footprint per liter compared with the 2022 baseline year. The winery also continued to expand the use of renewable energy, with photovoltaic capacity reaching 2.2 MWp and electricity from renewable sources accounting for 38% of total electricity consumption.
Further progress was made in sustainable viticulture, water management, and circular economy practices. Tikveš continued applying data-driven precision viticulture, soil analysis, vineyard monitoring, and drip irrigation systems to support more efficient use of natural resources. In 2025, the winery also recycled 95% of waste from grape processing and increased packaging waste recycling to 67%.
The report also reflects Tikveš Winery’s broader contribution to the economy and the community. In 2025, the winery operated in 26 international markets, employed 200 people, processed 34,750 tons of grapes, and invested EUR 14.9 million in modernization, digitalization, and production capacity. Its wines received 99 international awards and recognitions, confirming the continued strength of Tikveš on the global wine stage.
Svetozar Janevski, President of the Management Board, emphasized in the report that Tikveš remains committed to building a company that is “stronger, more innovative, more responsible, and ready for the future.”
The 2025 Sustainability Report confirms that sustainability remains an integral part of Tikveš Winery’s development strategy — from vineyard to market, from local communities to international partnerships, and from heritage to future growth.
